About our stairlifts...
| |
A
stairlift is a chair that travels along a rail close to either
side of the stairs.
| |
The
rail is attached directly to the stair treads, not the wall.
| |
Installation
takes only a few hours.
| |
The
chair is powered by batteries which recharge automatically when
not in use.
| |
The
charger is plugged into a standard 230v power socket.
| |
At
the top of the stairs the chair swivels to face safely onto the
top landing.
| |
Weight
limit: 160kg (straight stairs); 120kg (stairs with bends); 135kg
(outdoors).

About the user...
| |
Most
of our customers get a stairlift so they can stay in their own
home.
| |
They
can usually walk on flat ground but find stairs difficult particularly
when carrying things up and down.
| |
Wheelchair-users
can use a stairlift if they can transfer from one chair to another.
| |
The
user (or caregiver) pushes a button to make the chair go (controls
are designed for arthritic hands).
| |
A
key prevents unauthorised use e.g. by children (optional on some
models) .
