When
you are not using your stairlift it can be folded flat against
the wall, so it is well out of the way of other stair users. A
key-lock is useful to keep your stairlift safe from children.
|
|
To
unfold your stairlift, lightly press down the arm and seat; the
footrest unfolds automatically. Safety sensors stop the stairlift
if it meets an obstruction on your stairs.
|
|
Once
unfolded, your stairlift can be made to swivel round so you can
get on easily and safely. With the powered swivel option, you
press the control and it swivels automatically.
|
|
A
light-touch joystick control starts your stairlift gliding up
or down stairs. The battery continually recharges, so it is always
ready for use, even in a power cut.
|
|
At
the top of the stairs, lightly press a lever to make your stairlift
swivel round to face the landing. Then stand up as your stairlift
blocks the stairs. (Power assisted swivel available).
|
|
A
remote control (optional) enables you to move your stairlift to
the top or bottom of the stairs. You can even use the chair to
carry laundry or shopping.
