Funding
for equipment...
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
There are several possible options for
assistance with the funding of lifts for access. These include
the following:
1. Health funding – A Health
Authority fund is available to assist a person to maintain their
independence in their home. Funding is subject to the application
complying with strict funding criteria. Assessment of eligibility
is done by making an appointment with your local ‘Community
Occupational Therapist’. You can find out who this is by asking
your Doctor or local hospital.
2. ACC – If you have had an accident
preventing you from using the stairs in your home, or place
of work, you may be eligible for ACC funding assistance. You
will need to discuss your eligibility with your Case Manager
who will arrange for an assessment by one of their approved
Occupational Therapists.
3. Other organisations – There
are several other organizations who may consider funding assistance
in certain circumstances. These include the Lottery Grants Board,
health associations and some charitable organisations.
